Goodbye Mr. Schmidt...
last saturday,I went to one of my swiss boss's (Mr. Schmidt's) house for a farewell gathering as he would be leaving my company as he has been posted to China.... I popped in for a while as after that I had to join my family for my dad's annual lawyers' BAR dinner. That was the reason why I couldnt make it for my friend's farewell gathering....My convocation ceremony was a blast.. and it would definitely be etched in my mind, forever. Walking across the stage to receive my scroll was the most poignant but proud moment in my entire life... even more so with the presence of my beloved parents, brothers and friends. I've to admit that I was suffering a little from stage fright.... the only thing that I could think of was "grab the scroll and get the hell out of there" muahahhahahhaah..... mahathir was there too and he was still as popular as before...
Anyway, as for my graduation gifts... my maternal grandfather gave me some cash, my parents gave me a mini hi-fi set which i loved so, so much and a special present from my mum- a sony mp3 player... with the size of 1 GIG!!! believe it or not... It was totally a great moment....
As for my company's annual badminton competition, i fared pretty well... i shall say....I won gold for women's singles and doubles... but then again there were only 10 singles participants and only 6 teams for doubles... ahhaa... my advise is.... dont ever underestimate the ability of a 40 something auntie's badminton skills ok.. i almost lost to her.... ANyway, I wanna say a big thank you to my friends who were there to support me..... without your presence i might have actually lost the singles match... haha... o, I wanna thank my bro, andre too, for playing the role of a coach that day..... i'm not too sure whether his tips worked or not as i was too overwhelmed with pressure...to actually execute them..... ahha...
Anyway, last thursday, we had a farewell gathering for one of my swiss bosses (mr. Schmidt)..as he would be leaving us for shanghai, china... we went to a place around klebang called " the laman" the place was very cosy and nice but the food was just OK..... and on friday he officially left us....
it was a sad moment for all of us as he was the nicest amongst the swiss.....a few my colleagues actually cried... haha...not me though.... all of us will definitely miss him ALOT.....especially his booming laughter which always ended sounding like a chicken being strangled and one cant help but to laugh along whenever one hears it. We'll miss his smile, his greetings.. his friendliness.... his everything.... his concern... his humble and down to earth.... persona... overall he is one jolly guy.... Goodbye Mr. Schmidt... until we meet again someday....
o, on last wednesday, i had to work till 3a.m. in the morning (at home) to finish up some office work to avoid being slaughtered when i report for work the next day... yea.. it's a matter of life and death...
i'll post a couple of pictures later...
i was supposed to join a couple of friends for a movie today but unfortunately my maternal grandmother was not doing very well and I had decided to give the movie a miss and spend some time with her in the hospital instead....
gotta go..
