Flashback of year 2007

With a blink of an eye, the year 2007 has ended. Time sure flies by without you realising it and you just wonder what have you done or not do throughout the year, and the things that you have accomplished this year.

Here’s a flashback of my entire year 2007

January 2007

1st- Celebrated the New year with my family at the Palace of Golden Horses. Great hotel and even greater food. Had a great time there.

February 2007

14th- Valentine’s day. Was still single. Celebrated with friends at Rock and Roll Café. Great food and great ambience. Later headed to pure bar to extend the celebration

Chinese New Year (CNY)- Attended a family reunion dinner on CNY eve in KL. Enjoyed spending time with family and relatives. Enjoyed the house visiting sessions where we met up with friends, caught up with each others’ lives, and hanged around at each others’ houses. Not forgetting the delicious CNY cookies, loads of junk food, and filling up our body system with loads of sugar from all the soft drinks we consumed during that period. It’s a wonder that we didn’t go into a sugar shock or something similar to that : p … that would have been very interesting. Plus, CNY is not CNY without the gambling sessions.

April 2007

Attended Good Charlotte's concert. it was a very good concert. Had a freaking awesome time there. Totally love them!!Good Charlotte rocks!!

June 2007

19th- Lost a friend, Wafi to cancer. Was devastated and very sad. Could hardly believe that he was gone for good.

July 2007

Went to Bangkok with friends. Had an awesome and memorable time there. Shopping was just alright for me, not that fantastic. Foot massage was awesome and cheap. Got cheated by some corny Taxi driver there when he brought us to a dodgy and lousy “adult entertainment” place. We had wanted and planned to go to the best “adult entertainment place”in Bangkok but he told us that it was closed and he brought us to that cheesy place instead. On the bright side, we did manage to see what all of us on the trip had wanted to see when we planned our trip to Bangkok as that was one of the highlight of the entire trip. The show was just ok. But, the performers were boring, they were just old, crinkly, and expressionless…… The Mc D’s pork burger was good.

September 2007

1st anniversary of my maternal grandmother’s death. Still miss her very much.

November 2007

9th- The day I turned 24. My family and I celebrated at Rock and Roll Café. Treated my colleagues to Mc D’s and later headed to Pure bar, as usual.Had loads of fun there. I had wanted to treat my bunch of friends to Pak Putra but unfortunately, just as I had arrived at the place, somehow, don’t ask me how, I managed to drive my car up the cement slab. So, that was the beginning as well as the end of my birthday celebration. Bummer! Received great cakes and gifts from family and friends

20th- Attended the Rafeal Nadal and Richard Gasquet friendly tennis match. Great match. Even more so, because I got to see my favourite tennis player, Nadal, live in action. Had a great time.

22nd- Attended the Roger Federer and Pete Sampras tennis match. Being able to see Roger Federer live in action was a definite high.

December 2007

2nd- Fell in love with a great guy.

9th- Attended My Chemical Romance’s concert at Stadium Merdeka. Great concert, had an awesome time there. Definitely the highlight of the year.

20th- Ben’s last day in Malaysia. Sent him off to the airport. I will miss him very badly.

25th- Christmas. Best time of the year!

31st- Sadly had to work on this day. Had wanted to apply for leave but couldn’t due to the current negative status of my annual leave. Pathetic, I know. : p. Had a nice family dinner. Headed to Pure bar after dinner for countdown into the new year. Had a tremendous fun time there. Have to thank Thomas for forcing me to join him.

March,May, August, October 2007---à just the usual monotonous routine of my mundane life….. Maybe I did something interesting here… but I just couldn’t recall….

That’s a brief summary of my year 2007. As expected, there are good things and bad things. Hey, life is never a bed of roses.
