i'm finally free to blog

For the last few days, I have very sudden urges. No.... it's not any of that sort...... so stop guessing and fantasizing. hehee.. It's actually a musical urge. I just couldn’t stop playing the piano or strumming the guitar. Right now, my fingers are hurting like hell, as a result of too much guitar strumming. My left wrist is a little sore too from all that bending and stretching to reach the cords as my fingers are short......Those of you who plays the guitar should know that the strings do cut your fingers especially when you are learning how to play it. My youngest bro, AJ who is very good at playing the guitar is my personal tutor. hehe

2 days ago which was a Friday, I went to watch “The Simpsons the movie” with my family. Actually I didnt want to watch it because honestly I am not really a fan of the simpsons, but since my parents were going as well so I just tagged along. Honestly the movie was a really good and bloody funny one. Right now, I am beginning to like the simpsons. hehee.. literally.

My bowling tournament has been brought forward to yesterday and as expected, I sucked big time. The shocking thing was that I somehow managed to secure 3 strikes and a couple of spares but other than that my ball somehow more than once find it's way into the gutter. bloody hell. So, no medal here i suppose... but then again... I dont care... I knew I suck at this anyway.. ahhaa .Nevertheless, I had fun goofing around with my colleagues and plus the 2 games were paid by my company.... who cares...... like what my budz told me, I am not a bowling person,as I am more of a badminton and racquet person. ehhehehee.

I watched the movie “Vacancy”with buds yesterday and it was a good movie. It truly makes you think twice about the dodgy motels that you pick to stay for the night. Heehe. Unfortunately we sat beside a couple who kept chattering away incessantly and loudly even when the movie was playing. I bloody hate it when people talk during movies. So, obviously irritated, I just said "shh" in hopes to get them to shut their mouths, but it was fruitless. Then budz did the same thing but the chattering and laughing continued nevertheless. Picture this, you are in the cinema trying to enjoy the movie and someone beside you was talking about eating ipoh char hor fun and laughing loudly seemingly oblivious to the fact that they were actually in the cinema and not in a bloody mamak stall. Budz just couldnt stand their idiotic selves anymore and she said quite loudly, "very funny hor" which made them finally shut the fuck up for good.... sheesh.. some people.....

Today, I went to the "mini bistari.. something" where they sell food and stuff...and they have some games that you could play.... a little like a fun fair and it’s for charity. Usually, I wouldn’t be going to this sort of stuff, the only reason that I went was because my swiss boss had decided to sponsor a few selected employees including yours truly here with a stack of coupons worth 100 bucks for each person. Generous eyy….ahaha.. The place was ok.

Argh, I want to read my Harry Potter book but I dont have the time to do so.... freaking hell. I am stuck at chapter 4...........sigh

Till then

linkin park rocks big time!!!

I told a fellow Linkin Park fan by the name of Allen that I totally love this new album alot and I told him that i wanna and gonna spread the LP love, but I didnt have the time to do it until now, so here goes.
He listened to the album earlier than I did when it was released and he gave me a brief description on what the songs were like.... Initially I was a little worried that their album might not be good because I was really hoping that it will be good as I dont want to be disappointed. When he mentioned that the songs are like "my december"and that there is this one song which is a religious song my first thought was "o man...... "Fortunately the LP boys didnt disappoint me at all. This album has definitely cemented my love for them. ahhaa.

here's my song review
  1. Given up- i like this song alot! simply because the song is good. Totally love the beat and all.
  2. leave out all the rest----perfect song. Need no further explanation
  3. BLEED IT OUT- my SUPER ALL TIME FAVOURITE. THIS SONG ROCKED THE HELL OUT OF ME MAN!!!! I totally love the influence of their old songs on this track where it's MIKE vs CHESTER... excellent!
  4. shadow of the day--cool song
  5. what i've done-----love the lyrics, love the music, love everything about it
  6. hands held high-----urmm... i love it when mike rapped on this track which reminds me of his excellent fort minor album but the "amen" part is just too weird for me. This is the only track that made me say,"what the hell were they thinking when they decided to write a song like this". I know that they wanna be different but religious and rock..... is a big NO NO. this is weird stuff.
  7. no more sorrow- i totally love the heavy drum beats in the beginning and love the lyrics and the rest of the song. They really should have more of this song on the album.
  8. VALENTINE'S Day- i was quite disappointed with this song but it's ok.....
  9. IN BETWEEN- this is mike's first singing debut. It's a little mellow but it's kinda cool. I love the lyrics. this is one cool song.... but not great enough......though
  10. IN PIECES- I totally love the lyrics once again... the music is cool too...... love it alot!
  11. The Little Things Give You Away--this song is a little too slow when i first heard it but hearing it for a few more times. i love it. This song is about the hurricane Katrina that devastated New Orleans... cool song.
All in all, I am proud of them for releasing this album. Yea, it's a far cry from their first 2 albums and from what most fans loved them for, their fiery rapping and screaming, but that didnt stop me from loving them even more. This change is really good for them and i think it's timely too.

Like what Allen told me, they might lose some fans but then again they will gain a new pool of fans, indefinitely.

As for me, i will always be a LP fan through thick and thin. Right now, I am looking forward to their concert! A little bird told me that they might be dropping by sooner than we think..

to sum it all up, all i can and shall say is that linkin park is freaking good, excellent, perfect. Nothing lesser than that. Their new album is a result of a job well done.

till then.

HIGH ON HARRY POTTER

why is it that I am the one who worked my ass off and when my project runs smoothly someone else gets the credit for it and when the project has some hitches here and there... i get fingers pointed at me.....All the time I gave my all, my utmost best towards my work but it never seemed to be good enough. is it a sign for me to move on.. well time will tell...

I went to the popular bookstore yesterday after work with every intention to get hold of the latest GALAXIE magazine because the front cover of the magazine has Daniel Radcliffe on it. Plus there is an interview with him in it and plus there is a LINKIN PARK poster in it as well. I went around the whole bookstore and when I couldn’t locate the magazine I asked the bookshop assistant on where I could find it and she told me that they don’t sell it here.... I was like huh? how could a big bookstore such as POPULAR not sell GALAXIE magazine?? It's just bizarre..

Anyway, today, I went to watch the HARRY POTTER movie again (my 2nd time.... I absolutely love this movie....damn good) with budz, ash and andy at the MBO cinema. The decoration was nice and everything but it has a design flaw in the theatre. We chose the backseats like we usually did with GSC as those were usually the best seats, but unfortunately I suppose they didnt raise the floor high enough at the back and as a result of that, our view was completely blocked by the front seats, it could be that we are short though.... regardless, whoever who designed it didnt give it a careful thought about it. I think this is the best harry potter movie thus far after the first installment of course. hehehe

Anyway, instead of seating down on the chair like we were supposed to, ash suggested that we fold the chair and just semi seat on it or should i say lean on it. It's a good idea because at least we could watch the movie without being blocked. The only problem is I am now having a backache. dammit.

I feel bad for budz though because she couldnt see the entire movie propoerly.... bloody MBO. at least now we know that we shouldnt take the A row right, budz.... lesson learned. Other than that I like the atmosphere there as it's more cosy. ehhehe..

o, by the way, tomorrow (sunday) I'll be taking part in my company's annual bowling competition in makhota. It's at 9a.m., and it's freaking early. Wish me luck people, I truly need it. I suck at bowling, most of the time my ball will roll into the gutter or once in a blue moon I'll get a spare or even a strike. Last year I was like the 5th from the back, out of like 20 plus bowlers... muahhaha ... I just hope that I wont be last though..

I hope to collect my latest Harry Potter and the deathly hallows book from Thai kuang as I have prebooked it. Man i cant wait to get my hands on that book. On the down side, I learned from today's papers that Tesco is actually selling it at RM 69.90, bloody hell and i am paying RM 88 for it.
